In the end of 2004, Marcos decides to leave his project, called Soul Despair, to form a project of his own.
In the beginning of January, 2005, URBAN TALES is born, influenced by bands such as Anathema, Paradise Lost, Ever Eve, Entwine, Charon, Icon and the Black Roses, Opeth, etc.
With all members assembled, the Lisbon band decides to record a pre-demo and it was with that first work that U. T. were invited by Ricardo Capristano (known by his radical sports works and rally racing documentaries) to include a song in the DVD "MAIS1", a sports film that mixes the most awesome surf images with songs from new portuguese bands, such as The temple, Urban Tales, Cain, Fiona @ Forty, Sk6, etc.
After a few months of rehearsing, writing and recording songs, the band decided to record an official demo in order to gain label interest.
The first demo of the band is acclaimed by all media, naming the group as the revelation band of 2006.
The band suffered several changes in order to have the most professional attitude to music and the middle scene, and once they established that; signed a record deal with Burning Star Records for two albums.
Now with all the expectation for the first work, the Portuguese band intends to tour all Europe and show their music… |
