Mighty country Ashley Jordan recently released his new single and music video for “Angels.” The song is a mind-boggling ballad about the journey many of us take to learn to be vulnerable and allow ourselves to love and be loved.
From the single, Jordan shares, âFor me, the growing process involved letting go of the ideals / fairy tales I had as a little girl regarding love and relationships. I finally had to accept that love can be messy and confusing at times, and often it feels like being pulled in different directions – towards the light and sometimes into the dark. My song ‘Angels and Demons’ expresses this confusion about growing up and learning to love and be loved – and about hoping to become who you are meant to be.
The corresponding clip was produced by Paul Travers, and showcases the dancing skills of the 9-year-old National Ballroom competitive dance star Ruby marie taylor, as good as Tory hitchcock and Kelsey Grills, who also plays the role of choreographer in the video. Shot in several locations across Massachusetts, including the magnificent Spire Center in Plymouth MA, the video production team also included Director of Photography and Senior Camera Assistant Tommy Colbert, Lighting Director Phil Grenier and the wardrobe and decor designer Rae Finn.
